!!! We shot at Boston Comic Con at sunset! I absolutely love this image, it really evokes the feel of a comic book cover, and shows Kara's intensity and determination. The movement in the photo coupled with the golden hour back light and skyline in the background makes this my new favorite photo of this costume.
Character: Power Girl - Kotobukiya Bishojuo Statue version

~ self-styled wig
~ Boob Window content courtesy of Victoria's Secret Bombshell bra. Ladies - go out and buy one, you will thank me.

I think there is a way to approach even a simple costume such as Power Girl with thought and attention to detail. Simplistic costumes do not give you as many chances to mess up, and sewing mishaps can be pretty apparent. The craftsmanship on simple costumes has to be even more clean and precise. I'm pretty happy with how Power Girl turned out, mainly because of my fabric choices. I used the thickest jumbo spandex you can get for the bodysuit, a heavy duty canvas-like fabric for the cape, and leather for the gloves and boots. It's always recommended to mix different fabric types for added texture on a costume, to give it more dimension.
